Comann Eachdraidh Uidhist a Tuath (CEUT) was formed in 1989 and has over 300 members and 50 active volunteers.
In 2017 CEUT became a SCIO prior to purchasing Carinish Old School.

We have a board of up to 16 charity trustees who share collective responsibility for running CEUT. |
Members
We have over 300 members as well as Junior members in Oigridh CEUT. Membership is open to all and a form for joining us is available to download here. |
Volunteers
We are generously supported by 50 volunteers who assist us in a wide variety of ways. These include acting as guides to visitors, helping with building maintenance, working in our garden and last (but far from least!) the vital task of providing refreshments at our many events and activities. |

OBJECTIVES:
PURPOSES:
- The advancement of the heritage, language, culture, arts, and in particular through exhibitions, facilities and other provisions or services.
- To collect, identify and preserve documents, artefacts, photographs and other material of historical value in the area for the benefit of the community.
- To organise and arrange exhibitions, displays, lectures and other events relating to the work of the society and to work in partnership with universities, colleges, schools and other reputable agencies which have an interest in the work and aims of the society.
- The advancement of education through a better understanding of the built and natural environment of the area and the development of individual skills, capabilities and understanding to improve the lives of the inhabitants of the area and the public in general.
- The provision of social facilities and activities to improve the lives of the inhabitants of the area and the public in general.
