We have been involved in many exciting projects involving people of all ages through a variety of activities, exhibitions and events.
Brief outlines of some of our projects are provided below and in the drop-down menu, with links to individual project pages. CARINISH OLD SCHOOL
Carinish Old School became our new home on North Uist in May 2019. We have ambitious plans to redevelop the site as a thriving heritage hub.
VIRTUAL ST KILDA Virtual St Kilda was a digital heritage project exhibited in Taigh Chearsabhagh, North Uist from 4th May – 27th July 2014, as part of our St Kilda Exhibition. Recreating the Village Bay as it would have looked circa 1890 enabled a better understanding of island life 40 years before the evacuation on 29 August 1930. St Kilda is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in recognition of its importance as a cultural landscape. It is one of the few World Heritage Sites to hold mixed status for its natural and cultural qualities. Below is one of our videos for the St Kilda project.
