Comann Eachdraidh's 'Aire air Sunnd' project is pleased to announce that on Wednesday 10th July 2024 at 7pm in Carinish School Professor Stuart Angus of Nature Scot will deliver a talk on "Coastal Change in North Uist".  The event is open to all, any donations towards the upkeep of Carinish School will be gratefully received.
​

​Our informal ceilidh style heritage and wellbeing get together will be on again Tuesday 21st May 2pm – 4pm.  We chat, reminisce, tell stories, help to create the community collage, bring songs and music with us.  Everybody welcome!

CEUT's 'Aire air Sunnd' is part of the RSE's 'ISLANDS – PRESENT..' 2 day conference, starting
​tomorrow in Stornaway.
Explore the realities of and gain insights into Scotland’s island communities in our upcoming Islands.​
​Our presentation is at 9.50 am Saturday. 23rd March.

Archie's Intermediate classes begin this Wednesday. A six week block: Nov.1st 8th, 15th, 22nd, Dec.6th. We will be looking at local Gaelic stories.

​CLADACH AGUS MACHAIR VIRTUAL EXHIBITION LAUNCH
24 SEPTEMBER 2020

Join us for the online launch of our new virtual exhibition Cladach Agus Machair (Coast and Machair), a project that involves  reflections on our changing coastline by local crofters and schoolchildren. Virtual launch via zoom 11.30-13.00pm Thursday 24th September.
Co-hosted by Open Virtual Worlds, University of St Andrews.

We have planned a week of interesting activities for our heritage and science week, with events from Monday 12 - Friday 16 August 2019.

We are grateful to The Royal Society for funding this varied range of activities as part of their Places of Science scheme.
